Such narrow-minded thinking ignores the fact that revenue, regardless of its source or method of generation, is still revenue. The claim that the earnings from these markets stem solely from dubbed versions is erroneous, as a substantial portion of revenue in China and other markets is derived from subtitled original versions. The rationale given is that the business in these markets comes from non-Hindi versions. Non-traditional markets basically imply China as others aren't big enough to make any material impact. There is a prevalent viewpoint in the trade to disregard the revenue generated from non-traditional markets for record keeping.
